CAMPSITES

Here are details for some of the Camp Sites we use: -

Waddecar Scout Activity Centre

Set in the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Waddecar is an idylic destination. Situated to the north of Beacon Fell and on the River Brock, with open access to the Bleasdale Fells, there is a range of camping terrains from open fields to leafy woodland and riverside pitches, plus a variety of indoors accommodation on offer.

Little Dale

Littledale Scout Activity Centre is situated south of the village of Brookhouse and is eight miles from Lancaster and the site is only eleven miles from Morecambe Bay. It is set in the Forest of Bowland, which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Littledale is ideal for most Scouting and Guiding pursuits and for DoE expeditions.

Great Tower Scout Activity Centre

Close to the shore of Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Great Tower Scout Activity Centre is an ideal base for exploring this famous area. Set in 250 acres, the centre offers both sizeable woodland to explore as well as natural rocky crags for climbing

SilverHelme Campsite

SilverHelme Campsite is set in eighteen acres of natural woodland, comprising mainly oak, ash, yew, hazel and holly.

The campsite is in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) amidst limestone pavement within 1.5 km of the village of Silverdale (O,S Map 97 Ref. 473 752)
